
Unlike the New York Stock Exchange or London Stock Exchange, the forex market has no physical location and no central exchange. Most trading happens on the “interbank market” — a network of banks and non-bank financial institutions running electronically, 24 hours a day. That makes it an over-the-counter (OTC) market.
